Internet Market Research - InternetMedia
Simplifying the complexity of the Internet into useable knowledge.
Our guiding philosophy behind research is to put decision makers into positions of authority. By extracting from quadrillions of internet data points on a continual basis, we are able to build a picture of the internet's expansion. While the present day picture is extremely important, our main focus is giving endusers a customized picture of how the internet will appear in the months and years to come.
Our Approach:
To gain meaningful insights, we believe that research must take into account past and present informational sources so that we can build a picture of the future. To this end we continually examine incoming information to find patterns that match our current hypotheses as well as identify new areas of exploration. By comparing current patterns for matches to the past, over time statistical trends begin to emerge that cannot be formed merely by chance. Once we have a hypothesis in hand, we are then able to test assumptions by measuring the effect of manipulations on user behavior. For example, testing immediately whether users searching for red bicycles are also interested in green bicycles, or purple motorcycles. The commercial advantage of this approach is that we're able to identify:
- What people are searching for and finding.
- What people are searching for and not finding.
- Cross sections between interest points.
- Who controls this user interest and internet traffic.
Our Focus is Both Global and Local
In seeking a ubiquitous picture of the internet, we focus on both global and local patterns. The internet expands both outwards to areas where it was not already present as well as inwards to greater levels of development. In a broad sense, by comparing these two inputs we can gain greater insight into the whole. For example, analyzing the effect of multiple domain extensions within a country on the overall internet development levels within that country.
